Take Action: Management of migraine
Although a cure for migraine headache does not yet exist, headache pain can be managed with lifestyle modifications and medication.
Specifically:
- Keep a diary to record headache patterns
- Avoid foods, sensations, or stressors which trigger headaches
- Know important information such as what medications to take, and how to take them
- Know what type of migraine you have
- Ensure that headaches are not caused by another physiological problem
- See a specialist or review info about migraine clinics if symptoms worsen despite maintaining a treatment plan
